Hello! Today is my day to be in the Designer Spotlight from Kitty Bee Designs, and I want to show you a card I made for a good friend of ours-

Here is the ingredients-

  2. Cardstock-light, medium, and medium dark blues (stash), white cardstock with computer generated sentiment.
  3. Dies-Impression Obsession clouds, Cricut cartridge-Artbooking waves.
Did you know that Narwahls are called the unicorns of the ocean? Pretty fascinating!

JAS and Stencils

This week at JAS the challenge is to use stencils, something I'm not really comfortable with! But here is a project!

My husband's birthday is this week, and this card is for him. He raced sprint cars for over 20 years, and has recently decided he wants to work on his collection of muscle cards, restoring them finally! So this is a tribute to his racing days, and for being a winner on and off the track.

I used a checkered stencil with Golden modeling paste and black paint for the main checks. I then sponged CTMH Goldrush and Rangers Distressed Denim on the background, and stamped checkered flags with black ink. The sprint car stamp I had make 15 years ago! I used some of the gold ink on the sprint car to have some color in the white areas, along with coloring the background of the sentiment banner (die by MFT). Some black stickles finished off the banner.

I wish I had some other stamps or embellishments on the background, but I think he'll like the card just the way it is.

Thanks for looking.
