JAS 4th of July

Hello! The challenge this week at JAS is to make a 4th of July project, and here is mine-

The image of Lady Liberty is from the Graphics Fairy-a wonderful, mystical website of vintage images! I fussy cut the image after printing it onto white cardstock, and adhered it to my background paper. Here is a list of ingredients I used:
  1. Red & white twine-American Crafts.
  2. Lady Liberty image here.
  3. Red, white, blue stars-JoAnns
  4. Stamps sets from Mark's Finest Papers: Lady Liberty Mini and USA Heroes. White embossing powder and Watermark ink.
  5. Background paper is from a napkin!
  6. American Crafts Ivory Cardstock
Thank you for looking, and remember-Freedom isn't free. Tell a serviceman or servicewoman thank you.

JAS Baby

The challenge at JAS this week is to make a baby themed project, and I chose to make this card-

I've been trying watercolors again, and maybe, just maybe, I might be getting the hang of it. Really simple card using Paper Smooches set Pip Squeaks, and some Artist's Loft Shimmer watercolors for sky & grass. I matted the image with red cardstock, and debated on putting a sentiment on it but decided against it. I just liked the simplicity of it.

JAS Birthday

At JAS, it is Annemarie's birthday, so the challenge is Birthday cards! Here is one I made for my Mother-In-Law:

Ingredients-
  1. Sizzix Iron Gate Die-silver shimmer paper by Wausau.
  2. Foil paper by Colorbok.
  3. Roses by Prima.
  4. Sentiment by Stampendous Stamps.
I really like the foil and shimmer paper contrast. Super easy to put together!

While you may use stamps, SVG cuts and die cuts, you must use at least 1 Cricut cut to qualify for the prize, please list the cut used in your description.

  Here is my project:

This was made with SVGcuts.com Cliff's Clubhouse set. I used a dark brown, medium brown, white cardstock along with an blue green foil (Wal-Mart clearance!) for the card. SVGcuts.com has the easiest projects to put together! I used Art Philosophy to cut the label and Create a Critter 2 for the sentiment out of  scrap cardstock. I hand wrote the inside sentiment (now I wish I knew where my old journaling templates are!).

Check out the Design Teams projects, and make your Dad/Husband a Father's Day card. You can't win the $50 gift Card and new Big Shot from SVGcuts.com if you don't try! Just remember to use at least 1 original Cricut cut (cartridge cut or digital cut from Cricut.com) to be eligible!

JAS Garden Challenge

This week at JAS we were challenge to make a Garden themed project. My project is a card from a Rose Garden-

The gorgeous image is courtesy of The Graphics Fairy, where I downloaded this beautiful roses image.
I used a Tim Holtz distressing tool on all edges of my paper layers, added pale pink pearls and the ivory satin double ribbon. The yellow print of roses and the solid pink are some I had in my stash, so I don't know who made them.
I'm going to leave this one blank so I can add a sentiment to the outside and/or inside to fit an occasion where I'll need it. I can see stamping the bottom of the rose layer with Happy Birthday, Congratulations, or even a wedding sentiment!

Update-this card is featured at the Graphics Fairy here!
