JAS Memorial Day Challenge

This is a card I made for the JAS Memorial Day Challenge-

The image is from The Graphics Fairy, who has the most awesome images! I printed the image onto white cardstock and highlighted the image with a Sakura Stardust Gelly roll pen. I printed out the "Taps" music and lyrics onto white cardstock, then aged it with Tea Dye Distress Inks. The card body is from K & Co. "Life's Journey" 12 x 12 stack.

This is a tribute to all the soldiers who have fought for our country, and their families who support them.

Update: This card is featured at the Graphics Fairy here!

Masculine Birthday Card

I'm always needing "masculine" cards, so here is one I made using my Cricut and the Cars cartridge-

Boy, the Disney cartridges have some tiny pieces! The car was cut at 4" using scraps out of my stash, the galvanized metal background is actually a sticker sheet from Magic Scraps called Virtual Metal-I've had it forever! The stamps are from Mark's Finest Papers, and the enamel dots were added to resemble rivets.

Thanks for stopping by!

Unity Stamp Co. Friends with Flair

Howdy! I've got an adorable little gal for you-meet Jess! This is being entered in the Friends with Flair-

I've used two Unity Stamps to make this card, Fashionista Jess and Boots, class and a lil' sass. I used colored pencils to color her, Sea Glass Distress Ink sponged around her, with Stampin' Up Goldrush ink on the daisy cutouts (The card was cut with my Cricut & Scal2). Adornit butterfly paper completes the card on the inside. I then took 3 strings of twine, tied three seperate pieces around the bundle to resemble barb wire and attached that.

Thank you for visiting!

JAS Scrap & Bling Challenge

Welcome! This week at JAS the challenge is to use our scraps and to add bling, and here is my card:

Sometimes when I create with my Cricut, I may make something the wrong size before I realize it. These ladybugs were too big for a card I had made, so I put them into a plastic bin I have for oddball diecuts. I put them on the leaf paper I found in my stash. The sentiment is an old PSX stamp (the dots are different colored markers I added under the first line), and I used Spellbinders Labels Nine to die cut the shape. The rhinestone trim was 2 rows, so I cut it apart to make the 4 lines.

I'm also entering this in MFP's Simple Salutations.

Thanks for looking!

JAS Challenge-use chalk & ribbon

The challenge at JAS is to use Chalk & ribbon, and here is my project:

Here is a list of what I used:
  1. Gina K Design stamps
  2. Unknown Chalk set
  3. American Crafts Sheer Ribbon
  4. Neenah white cardstock, Dark brown cardstock
  5. Melissa Frances "Wendell" background paper.
I like having a few sympathy cards on hand. It seems the older I get the more the more I use them.

JAS Mother's Day

At Just A Scrappin', the theme is Mother's Day, and here is my project-

This was made with a kit at svgcuts.com called Mother's Garden. I absolutely adore this kit! All the paper came from the DCVW stack French Country, except the brown which was a scrap. I used the Cricut Cartridge Picturesque to cut the pink Acanthus corners @ 1 1/4". The large pearls are from Michaels Recollection and I used Cocoa Stickles on the butterfly. The stamped sentiment is from Stampabilities.

I watched several of the how-to videos on svgcuts.com before I started to cut. Everything you need to know is right there on video. Very clear, concise instructions made this so easy for a newbie like me!

I'm also entering this at:
My Sheri Crafts Mother's Day Challenge-"Ooh-La-La" Badge winner!
My Craft Spot Mother's Day Challenge-Top 5 Designer picks!
Cuttin and Stampin Mother's Day Challenges-DT Pick winner!

JAS Sewing Challenge

At JAS, we have a Sewing Challenge this week!

I sew a lot, and needed a clip board to keep my fabric sales circulars & pattern (the one I'm using at the time) in a safe place, so I did this!
I used MFP's I'm In Stitches to stamp on Kraft paper in Watermark ink, but used Zing black glitter embossing powder and plain ol' white embossing powder on some of the images.

Love this!
